This week we get to talke to Melanie from
House of Carnivores. Here's what she has to say:

A little bit about my blog: I started this shortly after we adopted Argos, our greyhound. At that time, we already had three cats, and have since gotten a fourth cat. The cats' names are Charlotte, Annie, Q-bit, and Romeo. To put it lightly, life can be somewhat interesting, and "interactions" between the animals are a constant source of amusement, concern, and bewilderment on my blog. It started out as just an accounting of daily life, but as I stated earlier, started to morph into what I hope will become a helpful guide to anyone considering adopting a pet. With the occasional rant thrown in there, when I find stories of animal abuse in the news.

My blog started out as just a description of my daily life with all of our animals, but has started to morph into something else as well: something that I can use to help encourage people to adopt. It will probably progress as a hybrid for awhile, maybe eventually splitting into two if it starts to get too ungainly. So, here are links to three of my favorite posts:
 |
| Argos |
"
Adopting an Adult Cat". Since most of our cats were adopted as adults, and I know that it's harder to adopt them out than kittens, I wanted to reassure others that it is possible to adopt one and still have it become a loving, happy pet.
 |
| Annie |
"
Animal Nicknames." A silly, light-hearted post, with a list of the tons of nicknames that we have started to call our animals.
 |
| Charlotte |
"
Walking in the Park." Argos' first trip to the local off-leash dog park, and cats napping all over the house. How could life possibly be better?
Please stop over to
